THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEAN ENVIRONMENT

·         A clean and healthy environment will definitely result in a workforce with improved health. This will certainly minimize the average number of sick leaves per employee within a company thereby improving productivity.
·         A neat and clean workplace is a nice tool for marketing whether in terms of clients, selling the building or lease space.
·         The neat and clean workplaces are less exposed to employee accidents and injuries as a result of slips and falls. A cleaner workplace is safe for the employees and therefore meets the international safety standards.
·         A clean and healthy environment minimizes the stress and provides a positive outlook on the working environment.
·         A regular cleaning process may improve the life of assets of a company i.e.; the carpets, equipment, tiles, floors, and furniture etc.
·         A nice and clean workplace is a nice tool to attain value as occupants will feel nice and better to stay there. Therefore, employees are encouraged to hard work and indulge in team efforts collectively.
It is even thought by some of the experts that commercial cleaning should be under the health industry as it is the only industry by far to have strongly acknowledged the importance of keeping a clean and healthy environment at workplaces. The other commercial units, only link cleaning benefit to the physical appearance. However, in fact, if the correct relationship is built on cleanliness, its impact on employee’s attendance, customer satisfaction, and employee’s productivity, no one will ever think of cutting the cleaning budgets.

DAMAGES RODENTS HAVE CAUSE TO YOUR PROPERTY

A rat or mouse in your home can carry a lot of risks. Rodents can spread disease, and both rats and mice can cause a great deal of damage to the structure of your home as well as eating and contaminating your—and your pet’s—food.

Damage

Rats and mice can cause structural damage to homes, apartments, offices, and virtually any type of building through gnawing, nest-building, and defecation:
  • ·         Mice will chew on just about anything that they see as useful in building their nests. This could be wood, paper, cloth, books, etc.
  • ·         A mouse will gnaw and burrow into upholstered furniture or seats of cars to create a hidden, snug nest.
  • ·         Insulation is not safe from mice either. They will tunnel into insulation inside walls and attics, either to make a home or to gather soft materials for their nests.
  • ·         Mice also will chew on the insulation around wires. This has been known to cause a real threat of fire.
  • ·         Mice will even build their nests in large electrical appliances, again chewing on or through insulation and wiring, which can cause the appliance to short circuit, malfunction, or lead to the risk of fire.
  • ·         The mice have no respect for any item, they will gnaw on and into just about any chewable item that is stored in the attic, basement, garage or closet, including irreplaceable family heirlooms, valuable paintings, and important documents.
The more hidden away and undisturbed an item or area is, the more likely amouse or rat is to see it as a comfortable, secure home.

Then, when that mouse travels around your home seeking nesting materials, food, and water, it will leave behind urine trails and fecal droppings. Not only do these contaminate the surfaces and foods on which they land and cause the potential spread of disease, but they also leave a scent trail for other mice—letting them know this is a great place to live. For more information on Cleaning services and to learn whether or not this is a treatment best suited for your pest situation, give us a call today!

Clean Environment Brings Good Health

Our Environment should be one of the most important places we should keep neat because the moment it’s clean we will be free from all forms of sickness. Also i always like quoting this saying which goes this way “ONCE OUR ENVIRONMENT IS CLEAN, OUR UNIVERSE BECOMES CLEAN”.  Keeping our surroundings clean will only help in the betterment of society.
Every household generates waste or garbage. Now, waste or garbage should not be thrown anywhere, and everywhere, but only in trash bins. Throwing garbage all over the place will only dirty our surroundings and pollute the environment. Controlling the use of plastic bags will also help to keep our surroundings clean. One should use recycled and eco-friendly products such as paper or jute bags instead of plastic bags. Throwing of plastic bags by the roadside only makes our surroundings dirty and unhygienic. Plastic bags are not soluble so they clog drains and cause water logging.
Do not litter on the road or in your neighbourhood. Littering causes land, air and water pollution. Try planting trees and plants that will beautify our surroundings as well as keep us healthy. Greener surroundings look beautiful and also reduce pollution to keep us fit and healthy. Dirtying our surroundings will only cause harm to us. So, keep the surroundings clean and live happy and healthy lives.

How to Prevent Yourself from Diseases (e.g Lassa fever) caused by Rodents

Lassa fever virus is mainly a zoonosis (a disease that is animal-borne or spread to humans from animals). It is spread to people through contact with household items, food, water, or air contaminated with the droppings or urine of infected multimammate rats (Mastomyces natalensis). These rodents live throughout West Africa in homes, and they can shed this virus without being ill. People most often become infected by inhaling air contaminated with aerosols of rodent excretions, swallowing the virus in food or contaminated utensils, preparing
and eating multimammate rats (meat of wild or non-domesticated animals, called bush meat or wild meat, is often prized as a delicacy), and contact with open wounds. Staying in homes or areas of poor sanitation or crowding, as well as health care are most at risk. Here are ways to prevent you from Diseases caused by Rodents and Unclean Environment: (i) Fumigation (ii) Environmental Sanitation

Benefits of Fumigation

When you have a pest problem, especially when the problem is severe, you want the most effective pest control solution available on the market. Many people resort to sprays and residual applications, but often these types of treatments aren’t completely effective. Repeat treatments are the result, which can cause expensive bills and a pest problem that isn’t totally eliminated. When it comes to effective pest control, in some cases, a pest professional will determine that the most efficient option is fumigation. There are many benefits of fumigation- here are what we consider the top 4 advantages when a fumigation service is necessary.
1. No matter what stage of life your pest problem is in, fumigation can eliminate them. Eggs, pupae and larvae as well as adults. Fumigation is the right treatment to get rid of every life stage that is present. Some non-fumigation type treatments will work best on certain life stages, while other life stages will remain unperturbed. Fumigation is appropriate when all life stages may be present like in the case of a severe infestation.
2. Fumigation is a quick solution to your problem. Many pest control measures can some time to work, including baits and sprays. Fumigation is quick, often taking care of your pest problem overnight. This may be necessary for sensitive environments or commercial establishments in which there’s zero tolerance for pests.
3. Fumigation has the ability to get to those ‘hard to reach’ areas where pests may be hiding. It permeates a room, even if the room is filled with your belongings. Fumigation can reach where sprays, dusts, aerosols and other typical pest control materials cannot, ensuring complete pest eradication.
4. Fumigation is ideal in sensitive environments, including food processing and storage facilities. There are reduced residue problems in fumigated areas compared to typical pest control treatments.
Fumigation is a great option for pest control and when performed by a trained professional, it can be completely safe and effective. This option is an excellent choice for both residential and commercial facilities facing pest problems. Solving the Environmental Problems

Responsible consumption and conservation are ways to solve environmental problems. It is important to recognize, however, that creating wealth and protecting the environment coexist. The environment cannot be protected by conservation alone. Wealth and surplus must provide the resources—mainly energy—to maintain order and keep objects and places clean. Maintaining the diseconomies that supply and demand causes keeps the biosphere alive and the built environment functioning. Sustaining a healthy economy also is critical to controlling pollution and maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Without wealth there are no resources to manage and control pollutants, especially through cleaning. Additionally, the world’s natural resources must be used efficiently and the environments that create wealth must be kept clean.
Before the market demand for effective cleaning services can be understood we must comprehend the utility of cleaning. Supply and demand, not utility directly, determine cleaning’s financial value. As consumer recognize that value, the demand for effective cleaning increases. The cost for that cleaning depends on the availability of capable firms to deliver high performance and effective cleaning services. For cleaning to be valued—particularly in a business and economic sense—individuals must be knowledgeable and educated about its usefulness and benefits.

Prevention of Diseases Caused by Rodents

Rats and mice can be a major economic threat around swine facilities. They consume and contaminate feed, and they have been implicated in maintaining or spreading diseases. House mice and Norway rats are considered the most troublesome and economically important. They thrive in and around farms and rural homes, and sometimes inhabit open fields and crops.
Rats will undermine building foundations and concrete slabs. Mice are particularly destructive to building insulation. Most common types of insulation, including rigid foam and fiberglass batts, are susceptible to rodent damage. A rodent infestation can cause thousands of dollars in damage in a matter of months. Additionally, rodents frequently gnaw on electrical wiring, causing equipment malfunctions, power outages, and fires as a result of short circuits. Rat and mice populations decrease during colder weather, but you may see the pests more often because they tend to move indoors to find warmer nesting sites.

Rodents and Swine Diseases

Rodents and other wildlife can play an important role in the transmission of swine diseases, although the occurrence of such diseases in rodents and their contribution to disease problems on hog farms is not well documented. Swine diseases that rats and mice may harbor or disseminate include bordetellosis, leptospirosis, pseudorabies, salmonellosis, swine dysentery, erysipelas, and toxoplasmosis. Rodents can spread or accelerate the spread of diseases from contaminated areas to uncontaminated areas via their droppings, feet, fur, urine, saliva, or blood. As an example, rats may travel through infected feces of sick pigs and then contaminate feed or water several hundred feet away. Rodents, if eaten by swine, also can directly transmit diseases. When rodents live around farm buildings, they are a food source that can attract predators such as foxes, raccoons, skunks, or stray dogs and cats, and these, in turn, may contribute to disease problems. An effective disease barrier system cannot be achieved or maintained without good rodent control.
For effective control, an integrated pest management (IPM) approach that incorporates the timely use of a variety of cost-effective control methods is recommended. These include: (1) sanitation, (2) rodent-proof construction, and (3) Fumigation
